Lisa McCorkle

New York City native Lisa McCorkle has long been captivated by the power of storytelling. Her passion for reading and creative writing has always been a cornerstone of her connection with the world, complemented by her innate ability to listen and engage with others authentically.

As a mother, mentor, facilitator, and author, she brings a wealth of experience to her work. Lisa has published several guided journals, and the novel “The Battle of Finance and Fame”—A family-friendly financial guide for teens and young adults navigating the intersection of financial literacy and life's aspirations.

She holds a Master’s degree in Urban Studies and has over 20 years in leadership experience. Her dedication to education is reflected in her work, imparting financial literacy and creative writing workshops to middle and high school students. This passion laid the groundwork for the BOOKME Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to building community through literacy—one idea, one person, one book at a time.
